We are pleased to announce the Freshwater Mollusk Conservation Society (FMCS) 2017 Symposium at the Cleveland Marriott Downtown at Key Center on March 26 to March 30, 2017 in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. “Hands On” Workshops: **Limited Space** Gastropod Identification and Sampling Workshop presented by the FMCS Gastropod Status and Distribution Committee - The focus of this workshop is to provide participants with a background on biology and ecology of freshwater gastropods, sampling techniques, and taxonomic skills for commonly encountered species; Unionid Mussels of the Upper Ohio and Great Lakes presented by Dr. Tom Watters - This workshop will cover all freshwater mussels, including extinct species, from the upper Ohio River and Great Lakes drainages.
Field Trips: Sightseeing Tour Cleveland Aquarium – Behind the Scenes, Great Lakes Brewery Tour, and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame; Restoration in Action Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District and Stream Restoration Site Reviews.
